STICKY KEYS and FILTER KEYS are designed to provide a number of accessibility features that are
designed to make the keyboard easier to use .
STICKY KEYS
Sticky Keys is an accessibility feature to help computer users who have physical disabilities, but it is also used by others as a means to reduce repetitive strain injury (or a syndrome called the Emacs Pinky). It essentially serializes keystrokes instead of pressing multiple keys at a time: Sticky Keys allows the user to press and release a modifier key, such as Shift, Ctrl, Alt,or the Windows key, and have it remain active until any other key is pressed.
For example, when pressing Ctrl + A to select all , a user would normally hold the Ctrl key down, then press the A key, and finally release both keys at the same time. With Sticky Keys active, the user can press and release the Ctrl key, and then press the A key to complete the keystroke, so that only one key is physically held down at a time.
The operating system will allow the following keys to "stick".
FIRST METHOD :
If SHIFT KEY is pressed 5 times intentionally or accidentally . A dialogue box will appear .
Just click on "Yes" and Sticky keys are enabled .
SECOND METHOD:
3. Next, you can change your sticky keys settings by clicking the “Set up Sticky Keys” link.

FILTER KEYS
Filter Keys can be used to control the keyboard in the following ways.
- Ignore repeated keystrokes - If a user accidentally presses a key more than once within a specified period, the system will act as if the key was pressed only once.
- Ignore quick keystrokes - The system will ignore all keystrokes unless the key is pressed down for a specified period. If a user accidentally presses keys that were not intended, the system will ignore them.
- Set the repeat delay - When a user presses a key and holds it down, the system first accepts the key as a single keystroke. After a specified time, the key will start to repeat. The period between the time the keystroke is first accepted, and the time the keystroke begins to repeat, is called the repeat delay.
- Set the repeat rate - When a key is held down and begins to repeat, the repeat rate specifies the rate at which the key should be repeated by the system.
